Explosives Management
In compliance with applicable regulatory guidance, FPM Military Munitions Response personnel perform Munitions and Explosives of Concern (MEC) disposal and/or demolition operations as required. Our UXO team adopts standard disposal and demolition operation procedures that will satisfy your site-specific safety and health requirements.
In the event that MEC encountered in your UXO contaminated site cannot be avoided, or presents an imminent hazard requiring immediate attention based on its fuzing or current condition, the FPM’s Munitions Response team will notify your local Point of Contact (POC) designated in the Work Plan. The local POC will notify the appropriate authority of the MEC discovery and the UXO team will utilize the necessary procedure specified in the work plan for MEC disposal and/or demolition operations.
